After reading our text and having class discussions, I believe Curious George by Margret and Hary is a "good" book. Curious George is a book series that has George the monkey traveling and going on many everyday life adventures.
In our reading good books expand awarness and take children into other peoples perspectives and give them an understanding of the world. Curious George books envolve this in every way. For example George goes to the hospital, George goes to the zoo. These books are teaching children about every day life. Also good books tell the truth, and the characters are real life and the moral of the story is accurate and wise. A good book to me captivates the reader, entertains them and teaches them a lesson. I think Curious George does all the above and is a fun educational read!
I love books that can put kids into the mind set of everyday things that they will need to learn about. I think all "good" books should make children think a little farther than before.
