Assignment 4, Kayla Coleman

I've never felt so alone or mistreated.
All I wanted was a piece of something to eat, a crumb of some sort, I may even secertly wanted a home, I never thought that would happen...
..Until one day, as the grocery store manager was screaming at me..
Myself and this little girl made eye contact and I knew for a fact I had found my owner.
India Opal Buloni was her name and we were a perfect match, the best of friends.

  1. Kayla, I like the way you contrasted the manager's shouting with the moment of stillness when Winn-Dixie and Opal found each other. That line focuses my attention on the essential part of this scene, the meeting between the lonely little girl and the abandoned dog. The manager's shouts and the rest of the commotion just seems to fade away...
